INTRODUCTION
About
This is a short film regarding emotions. We depicted scenes in Fall to tell a story which happened in Summer. Our protagonist saw her chasing the residual shadow of a red dress in summer, and perhaps that person is another euthuastics herself in dream.
Concept
I wanted to make a film in fall, but it is a summer story. All of the scenes were shot in fall, you can tell it is the season of fall, but is you pay attention, you noticed the falling leaves, the non-stop conversation, the Polaroid photos on the wall......they are saying the endless summer. Summer ends, but the story of summer never ends.
PRODUCTION
Script
Fall is a calm and peaceful lake.
I sit by its side.
Gusts of wind blow past,
spinning and dancing round and round, non-stop.
There was no wind in my fall.
Just like there was none over my lake.
No waves, the lake’s surface smooth as a mirror,
reflecting the rushes (that emerge from it) and the lights of the sky.
This gust of wind must be carried over from summer.
It blows into my fall and may continue to blow into the depths of winter.
I experienced a strenuous chase this summer.
It was a beautiful idea suddenly bursting into my mind
when I am half asleep and half awake,
or a flash of light that catches my eye
while I am playing with a prism.
I don’t remember the outcome of that chase.
I may have had her for a while, or not.
It doesn't matter.
Because I've lost her.
But the wind we stirred up when she took me running has not subsided.
As it continues to blow,
it gets weaker and more translucent,
yet it still blows into the fall.
A summer wind blows into my fall.
I always feel that I will soon forget that desperate chase,
but the wind still lifts up wisps of my hair.
My heart is once back becoming a silent lake,
still ruffled by the ripples that refuse to end.
Summer winds have no color.
Century Avenue has no lake.
